Vikki Carr - For Once in My Life (1969) (Liberty Records)

For Once in My Life is a live album by Vikki Carr that was recorded at the Persian Room in New York City. Not only is this my favorite record by Vikki Carr, but it was the first of hers I ever heard. For Once in My Life was one of the first records I ever sampled, so it really means a lot to me. One thing I really like about this album is that it’s live. The first time I heard it I was so impressed with Vikki’s vocal performance I immediately went out and bought like four more of her records within the next week. Vikki Carr will always be one of my favorite female vocalists, and I’ll always have a sentimental attachment to this record.
